Buns with black raspberries and a crumble

Did you ever meet anyone who has never eaten a bun? I personally didn’t meet anyone like this 😉 Everyone knows that especially children love them. When I was a child I did eat buns every single day and really couldn’t resist. Now I decided to prepare ones for my kids. 

I made buns with black raspberries and a crumble. The fruits I added meant to be not-so-sweet part-but-healthy part. I used the fruits from my grandmother’s garden.

You’ll need



7 g of instant yeast

200 g of milk

40 g of butter

20 g of sugar

200 g of flour


Melt the butter on low heat.

Milk should be in room temperature or slightly heated.

Mix all ingredients together until combined. Next knead the dough until it’s not gluing to your hands. When the dough is formed, place it in a warm place and wait until it is twice grown.

Tip: To make the dough grow I’m turning on the oven to 30°C and I’m placing the dough inside it in a glass bowl covered with cloth.

In a meantime I’m preparing the crumble.

The crumble


50 g of cold butter

100 g of flour

25 g of sugar


Chop the butter on small pieces and mix all ingredients (you can use mixer or your hands) until he dough is smooth.

Forming the buns with black raspberries and a crumble

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Form a roller from the bun’s dough and cut it for 6 even pieces. Form a ball from each piece and flatten it. On formed buns put as many raspberries (you can also use any other fruits that you love) as you’d like and then put the crumble on.

Put the buns to the oven and bake for around 20 minutes. Buns are ready, when you hear a deaf sound when tapping the bottom of them with a knife.
